SSTC “Unsung Heroes” Awards Dinner September 2, 2010 We are constantly reminded of the need for citizen participation in reaching out to the youth and young adults in our community. Sister Saving the City wants to uplift those individuals. Therefore, we honored ten males in our community who have committed volunteer time to the youth in Baltimore. We honored these individuals at the SSTC “Unsung Heroes” Awards dinner on Sunday, June 27, 2010. SSTC sponsored the awards dinner at the Delta Community Center, 2501 Springhill Avenue from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The theme for the awards dinner was “Volunteerism: The Power of Selflessness”. This event was a great success. The awardees were blessed and greatful for the fact that they are able to give back the way that they do.
